Protecting against damages caused by earthquake while leaving the structure accessible
Munich. In the framework of the European research project SILER (SeismicInitiated events risk mitigation in Lead-cooled Reactors), MAURER developed a bridging which resists earthquake. This bridging remains both usable, i. e. the reactor remains accessible, and watertight, e. g. against inundation.
