Subjects

All working areas of an innovative manufacturing company are open to you. These include development and design engineering, materials management, manufacturing and installation as well as the entire commercial area.

You will be integrated in the respective department and work on tangible projects for product development or process optimization. You will gain insights into how this department is working and will be given the opportunity to collaborate independently depending on your skills. This will enable you to enhance your professional experience and make practical use of your knowledge.

  • Monitoring: sensor technology, measurement value logging, evaluation algorithms, data transfer
  • Construction: vibration dampers, roadway expansion joints, seismic protection, bearings, test devices, prototypes, manufacturing and installation devices, automation
  • Materials: tribological systems, coatings, fluids, elastomers, polymers, polymer concrete,  special steels
  • Experiments: Experiment planning and conduct
  • Calculation: FE analyses, structural analysis, statistic verification

Support:

Qualified support during your work with us is very important to us. As a rule, an experienced employee will be assigned to you from the very beginning, who frequently is an engineer holding a doctorate degree, thus ensuring the coordination with your university will run smoothly.

Pay:

Student employees receive an hourly wage on a time basis. The working hours are agreed upon with the respective department. For theses (Bachelor, Master, diploma) a monthly salary will be agreed upon. Weekly working hours for student employees are at most 20 hours per week during the terms at the university.

We recommend sending in your application at least three months prior to the start of your employment. Your application should include your résumé and your letter of application in which you explain your intentions (what, why, and when). Prerequisites:

We are mainly looking for applicants from mechanical engineering and, in the field of civil engineering, especially from steel construction. However, also other specialties will get a chance, for example, physics, materials engineering, computer science, and business economics. It is of particular importance in the first place that your field of study matches with the professional opportunities MAURER is offering.
